Jake Paul responded after Olivia Rodrigo mentioned him during her Saturday Night Live monologue over the weekend.
During the monologue, Rodrigo reflected on her early acting career and brought up her time on the Disney Channel series Bizaardvark. Paul also appeared on the show, which aired from 2016 to 2019 and followed two young creators making online videos.
Rodrigo used the moment to compare their different paths after the series. She noted that she went on to write songs about the emotions and experiences of girls her age, while Paul moved further into boxing and online entertainment.
Paul later reacted on social media. He did not criticize Rodrigo’s comment and instead said they both had clear goals for their futures. He also congratulated her and said he was proud of her.
Since Bizaardvark, Rodrigo has become one of pop music’s major young artists, while Paul has built a public career around content creation and high-profile boxing events.
